San Diego Conference on Labor & Community Solidarity

San Diego Conference on Labor & Community Solidarity

Save the date! October 3, 2015…
From the Coalition For Labor & Community Solidarity:
conference
In October 2014 over 120 labor activists, union members, community organizers, and others came together from throughout San Diego county and Tijuana to discuss important labor and social justice issues, and develop solidarity between our efforts. This October, we will do it again.

This year, the theme will reflect the growing and diverse efforts to fight poverty on a national and international scale. This includes the growing momentum in the Fight for $15, the struggle for full rights and equal pay for adjunct educators, the farm-workers movement for a living wage in San Quintin, and more.

The conference will also include panels and workshops on social justice unionism, lessons from recent labor struggles and other workplace issues, and efforts to build labor-community solidarity relating to current issues that affect all working people.

Lincoln High School, 4777 Imperial Ave, San Diego, CA 92113
Registration opens at 9am.
