The Poor Carters String Band and friends host a weekly Friday evening bluegrass jam at the chain pizzeria Mountain Mike’s Pizza in Pleasure Point, Santa Cruz.

Here the jammers perform a rendition of Dim Lights, Thick Smoke (And Loud, Loud Music) written by Joe Maphis (1952) for Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs (Foggy Mountain Boys) and revisited over the years by the likes of Conway Twitty, Flying Burrito Brothers, and Dwight Yoakam.
